A new approach on feeding technology

Reducing diesel consumption and cutting costs is possible with the V-MIX Hybrid drive concept. This combines the power of a diesel engine on a towed feed mixer with electric power during stationary operation. The principle: a conventionally towed feed mixer wagon is fitted with an electric motor and connected to the mains supply. This allows the mixer to be used in stationary mode – depending on operational requirements, electric operation can be used during mixing or even during feeding. This reduces diesel consumption during the feeding process. BvL is collaborating on this with Kurmann Technik AG from Switzerland, which supplies the electric drive for the system.
