The durable core element of BvL self-propelled mixers:

the profiled roller

Efficient, robust and suited for diverse feeding concepts – the modified profiled roller of BvL self-propelled mixers is now even more robust and has an interesting optional feature. The patented profiled roller has always been the heart of the self-propelled mixers from Bernhard van Lengerich GmbH & Co. KG (BvL). All the more reason why the central removal unit has to operate efficiently and be robust enough for daily use on farms.

Now the BvL engineers have modified the roller in view of these requirements. As a result, the profile elements of the roller are now offset. This arrangement allows the roller to rotate even more smoothly. Although the removal elements of the profiled roller are highly wear-resistant, they are easy to replace if the need arises. In addition, the elements are mounted relatively far from the core of the profiled roller. This design reduces mechanical stress on the drum of the profiled roller. As a result, the drum will normally not need to be replaced throughout the life cycle of the mixer!

A new option makes the BvL self-propelled mixer more attractive for farmers who use more finely chopped feed mixtures. Because, in the past, the focus was clearly on profiled elements for gentle removal technology. Mounting the optional knife set on the segments of the profiled roller makes it even easier to prepare a more finely chopped feed mixture.
